Vision

We desire to be a Jesus centered community where...

The lost, broken, and those in bondage are safe to come and receive restoration, healing, and freedom.

People are free to be themselves without masks, fear of rejection, or being judged.

People are growing in their walk with Jesus through relational discipleship as we invest in, encourage, pray for, and learn from each other.

The good news about what Jesus has done for us is evident by our life and love for each other.

Each member of GRCC is equipped and empowered to minister to each other and the world.

The Team

Meet the Team

Here are a few of the people that serve our GRCC family.

Pastor & Spouse

Shawna & Scott Carpenter

Shawna is an ordained elder in the Free Methodist Church and a graduate of Regent Divinity School. Her heart is to help people encounter God in the Scripture, through prayer, and in relationship with each other and Jesus.

Scott is an Entrepreneur and has a heart to serve the lost and broken in our community. They moved from Florida in 2023 to pastor GRCC and serve Leslie and the surrounding community.

Deacon & Facility Management

Jim Snyder

Jim has faithfully served as a deacon in the Free Methodist church for 12 years. He oversees the maintenance of our facility as well as being a part of our prayer ministry, worship gathering host, and visitation. Jim's heart is to see the power of Jesus heal people physically, emotionally, and spiritually. He often leads in anointing people with oil for healing.

Deacon in Training

Amy & Mike Beaman

Amy is in the process of becoming our next deacon at GRCC. She serves in our prayer ministry, as a worship host, and preaches several times a year. Her and Mike have a heart for the children of our community and those who are broken, addicted, and hurting.

Mike is an awesome example of loving your neighbor including those in Leslie's Biker community.

They live in Leslie where Amy serves as a substitute teacher in Leslie schools.

Worship & Hospitality

Ben & Jordan Crockett

Ben and Jordan serve GRCC on the worship team and by providing refreshments and coffee before the service. They live in Rives Junction with their kids, Maevyn and Beron.

Children's Ministry & Church Tech

Debbie & Mark Davis

Debbie is our amazing kids church leader along with the help of Mark. Mark is also our local technology expert. They also host a Bible Study in their home in Leslie.

Worship Technology

Lula Snyder

Lula is an important part of our worship experience on Sunday mornings. She works behind the scenes making sure we have the media and audio technology we need.

The BOA oversees church finances, property and other resources.
